Module 2: Membrane dynamics

The aim of the module is to measure, image and analyse the dynamics of cell membranes components in their natural environment. For that purpose state-of-art imaging methods will be described and practiced. These methods include STED imaging and STED FCS, spt-PALM and spatio-temporal correlation techniques (RICS, N&B).

- Specific-module lecture 2: C. Eggeling (University of Oxford): Nano fluorescence fluctuations techniques applied to membranes.
- Specific-module lecture 3: M. Digman (University of California Irvine) : RICS and N&B applied to membrane molecules
- Specific-module lecture 4: JB Sibarita (IINS, Bordeaux): Spt-PALM in membrane imaging organization.
Practical sessions
- Session 1= spt-PALM on integrins proteins. (JB Sibarita, A. Beghin)
- Session 2= FCS and line FCS on model membranes and GPi proteins. (E. Sezgin, Yandrapalli)
- Session 3= Evaluation of Focal Adhesion dynamics with the Raster Image Correlation Spectroscopy (RICS) Analysis and N&B method (M. Digman)
